Liquids transport
EC Regulation no. 1546/2006 imposes limitations on the transport of liquids in carry-on bags - LAGs -
All gassy, gelatinous, creamy or liquid substances (deodorant, hair spray, gels, creams, beverages, perfumes, lotions, oils etc) must be carried in containers of no more than 100 ml each for a maximum of one liter per passenger. The containers must be placed in a transparent re-sealable bag and presented separately to security personnel.
These limitations do not apply to medicines, baby food or milk required for the duration of the entire journey.
Furthermore, passengers, may carry liquids purchased, within the last 24 hours, at Duty Free shops in any airport as long as the item and the receipt remain sealed in the plastic bag.
For checked baggage, you can carry Lags greater than 100 ml.
Caution: fresh cheeses, such as mozzarella, provola and fior di latte, although deprived of their liquid, are included in the paste substances not allowed in the cabin. The only cheeses allowed on board are "dry" ones, such as parmesan cheese.
