Security screening for liquids, aerosols and gels

EC Regulation no. 1546/2006 imposes limitations on the transport of liquids in carry-on bags. Liquids must be carried in containers of no more than 100 ml each and total no more than one litre per passenger. The containers must be placed in a transparent re-sealable bag and presented separately to security personnel.
All gassy, gelatinous, creamy or liquid substances (deodorant, hair spray, gels, creams, beverages, perfumes, lotions, oils etc…) must be placed in containers of 100 ml or less inside a closed, re-sealable plastic bag and kept separate from hand luggage until the security controls have been completed.
These limitations do not apply to medicines and baby food or milk required for the duration of the flight. Furthermore passengers, may carry liquids purchased, within the last 24 hours, at Duty Free shops in any airport as long as the item and the receipt remain sealed inside its original sealed security bag.
